Visibility is a hugely popular combined arts holiday project for children and young people with disabilities aged between 8-16 years and their siblings and friends aged between 8-11 years.
Based each time on a theme a story unfolds taking the children on a multi sensory journey of exploration. Working with a group of artists in character, the children use art, music, movement, storytelling, puppets and drama to create and play out a story which is shared with parents and friends at the end of the project.
Visibility is a truly unique and magical experience, which offers children essential time and space to play and explore. Described by parents as a living story book this is an interactive project, which has really wonderful results.

We aim to create a magical experience for all involved, enhancing the lives of the participants and raising awareness of their own talents and creativity, disabled and non-disabled alike. Visibility offers young people a chance to be creative and to develop through the activities provided.
This project is offered to special needs schools, social services and others in the West and South Yorkshire regions. This work has been developed during the last ten years by the Visibility team.
Wakefield's home base break services are fantastic supporters of Visibility, many thanks to them and the funders of the project. All funders are listed on the funders page.
