| Action Space Mobile has been working with schools for more than 25 years, enhancing the curriculum and often working with disaffected students. Projects range from one off workshops to short residencies and long-term projects. We work with Schools to find and encourage creative ways of learning both inside and outside of the National Curriculum.
Several of our artists are qualified teachers and by employing a range of specialist techniques in drama, music, movement, visual art and digital media we can:
· Explore social issues e.g. bullying, substance misuse, racism · Build Community cohesion · Deliver an alternative curriculum to develop functional skills For example the creation of a piece of structural art for a school, like a mosaic or mural engages students in: · Design skills e.g. working to scale · Measuring, estimating, quantifying of materials · Understanding ratios · Communication · Project planning · Working to a deadline · Working in a team All of our artists have enhanced CRB checks and are fully insured. Please contact us on 01226 391 112 if you'd like to discuss: · a schools project with us · to commission a piece of art work · to facilitate an arts/performance workshop with your school | ||
