Royston Whole School Project The main aim of the project was to involve the whole school to celebrate the development of the new Children's Centre by creating and installing pieces of art within the school. The project also aimed to raise the attainment in art and design technology throughout the school while create an outdoor mosaic, and indoor mural and banners.
The Art forms involved were sculpture, clay tiles, large fabric banners and individual mosaic pieces constructing one final wall mounted piece. This worked is linked to the current curriculum; the children were given the opportunity to be creative within each element of this project whilst engaging in relevant learning both creatively and educationally.
In total five artists Rebekah Newbould, Lee Sass, Zoe Carratt, Denise James and Jan Benham delivered twenty eight sessions working with the children.
