Action Space Mobile has a history of working with people with disabilities through the arts. This work is supported through the Arts Council England, BBC Children in Need and others.

 

Our team of specialists, work with adults with disabilities as part of an integrated programme, which currently consists of two theatre companies (In The Boat and Cross The Sky) and a children's holiday arts project, entitled Visibility.

 

 
IN THE BOAT THEATRE COMPANY - Sheffield based - tours nationally and internationally
 
CROSS THE SKY THEATRE COMPANY - Barnsley based - tours across Yorkshire - then the world!
 
VISIBILITY - Children's holiday programme - Barnsley, Sheffield and Wakefield (Other locations as commissioned)
  • In addition we offer activities or workshops working with day centres or other groups.
  • The theatre companies also deliver advocacy workshops / programmes and perform at events such as Mencap celebration days and 'Under the Stars' nightclub event.

We have worked with a number of partners to develop this social evening for adults with learning disabilities in Sheffield and the wider area.
